PFAS Removal Treatment Plant Construction Update 7-27-25 & Schedule

Our contractor is currently conducting pile driving operations at the new PFAS Removal treatment plant construction site at 166 Frost Road, Tyngsboro.

Unfortunately, the contractor was not able to complete the pile driving work as anticipated on Friday. As a result, pile driving operations will continue today, Monday, July 27, and may extend into Tuesday, July 28, if necessary to complete this phase of construction

We understand that this work creates noise and vibration and may be disruptive to nearby residents. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Unfortunately, due to the nature of pile driving operations, there is no practical way to avoid the associated noise and vibration while completing this critical phase of construction.

This project is necessary to meet federal drinking water regulations addressing PFAS compounds and to ensure the District remains in compliance with upcoming regulatory requirements. The new PFAS treatment facility is being constructed to protect public health and maintain the delivery of safe, high-quality drinking water to our customers.
