PFAS Removal Treatment Plant Construction Update 7-23-25 & Schedule

Our contractor is currently conducting pile driving operations at the new PFAS Removal treatment plant construction site at 166 Frost Road, Tyngsboro.

Pile driving activities are expected to continue through 7:00 PM on Thursday and Friday, and the contractor is hopeful that this phase of the work will be completed by the end of the week. At this time, we are optimistic that pile driving will not need to continue into next week.

We understand that this work creates noise and vibration and may be disruptive to nearby residents. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Unfortunately, due to the nature of pile driving operations, there is no practical way to avoid the associated noise and vibration while completing this critical phase of construction.

This project is necessary to meet federal drinking water regulations addressing PFAS compounds and to ensure the District remains in compliance with upcoming regulatory requirements. The new PFAS treatment facility is being constructed to protect public health and maintain the delivery of safe, high-quality drinking water to our customers.
